Pony Cards For Sale!

By Admin 08/15/2023, 2:30pm CDT

Look for our players selling in our community

The annual Pony Card sale is underway. The card is $20.00 and is the primary fundraiser for the high school football program. Funds raised this year will be used to purchase helmets. While we try to purchase new helmets regularly to offset huge needs in a given year, our replacement is larger than typical as we overhauled our helmet inventory in from 2012-2015. Helmets can be used up to 10 seasons.

Thank you to all of the businesses who participate on this card!

Please support our program as our players sell throughout the community.

Ponies have won back to back sub district titles

On Saturday, April 2 at the Minnesota Football Coaches Association Awards Banquet, Head Coach Beau LaBore was presented with the Metro Maroon North Sub District Coach of the Year Award as voted by the league coaches. LaBore was also selected in 2020.

The Ponies have won back to back sub district championships. In 2021, the Red and Black were 5-0 in the Maroon North and 8-2 overall. Ranked #3 in 6A, the Ponies lost a barnburner to #2 Eden Prairie 28-21 in week eight and fell in the Section Championship game to Wayzata.

"We've created some momentum," LaBore said. "But, all of us are working hard to find a way back to the state tournament."

The MFCA Awards Banquet is in conjunction with the MFCA Coach Clinic at the Double Tree Hotel in Minneapolis.
