2022 Program Improvements

Spending

The Ponies Touchdown Club (PTC) is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization intended to support the Stillwater football program. The PTC has helped flip all of the organizational and equipment needs and wants of the program while planning the long term future of the program under the direction of Coach LaBore. The group has organized initiatives to bring stakeholders together. Finally, significant promotions and fundraising have helped the program make necessary improvements. The following are highlights from the 12th year under Coach LaBore with the assistance of the PTC in year 11:

Purchased 40 Riddell Speed Flex helmets as part of continued replacements. This large purchase reflects the large number of helmets voided after 10 years of use law (major purchases in 2011-2015).

Purchased 25 Riddell SPX Shoulder Pads.

Purchased home and away Nike Uniforms for the varsity team. This allowed improved uniforms for the sophomore and freshman teams. The 2012 purchased Adidas uniforms were donated to the eighth grade VAA teams.

Purchased Nike Practice Jerseys for the varsity. This improved the practice jerseys for the sophomores and allowed us to finally retire the old varsity jerseys purchased in the early 1990s

Purchased Nike Metro Maroon North / Class 6A Section Champions T-shirts for varsity players

Continued BSN with Nike under the SAHS Activities Office contract for apparel for our football players and families.

Continued use of Hudl game film software.

Funded additional 9th-12th grade football coaches.

Assist with use of www.poniesfootball.com website and maintained a Facebook page, You Tube channel, Instagram, and Twitter account.

Annual purchase of footballs, decals, and miscellaneous equipment.

Supported coaching staff with some education resources and clinics.

Rewarded 2022 Stillwater graduate Austin Buck with Ponies Touchdown Club Scholarship worth $1,000.

Produced a shortened 42-page Ponies Game Day Program (fundraiser)

Assisted the program with day to day costs

In short, the PTC seeks to continue our strong tradition as well as improve the Stillwater Ponies Football Program now and into the future. The safety and performance of our players is of the utmost importance to the football staff and the PTC board. We are striving to help Stillwater Ponies football become the most-respected program in Minnesota.
