Coach Granger Taft
Coach Granger Taft is from Rosemount, MN and is a graduate of Rosemount High School and University of Wisconsin-Eau Claire. Coach Taft and his wife, Breanna, have a daughter, Tilly, and live in Stillwater. Coach Taft serves as cornerbacks coach and teaches English at Stillwater Area High School. The 2025 season marks the 6th season in the district and 10th overall.

In high school, Coach Taft earned Academic All-Conference with the Irish. At UW-EC, Taft started two years at defensive back, leading his position group in tackles and forced fumbles his last season.
One of the biggest influences on Coach Taft was Rosemount Head Coach Jeff Erdmann. "He created a team culture who got players motivated for the weight room and practices as they prepared for Friday nights.
Coach Taft's best memory of Stillwater football was beating East Ridge for the Metro East Championship in 2020. "The defense was suffocating and made plays when we had to."
