We Learn Not For School, But For Life

The mission of Stillwater Area Public Schools, in partnership with students, family and community, is to develop curious individuals who are active and engaged leaders in an ever-changing world by challenging all students as they travel along their personalized learning pathways.

The school offers a wide variety of courses to build a strong educational foundation in language arts, mathematics, social studies, agriscience, science, business education, family and consumer science, industrial technology, fine arts, health and physical education. Students have the opportunity to study world languages, including French, Spanish, German and American Sign Language (ASL). SAHS offers a six-period day.  Students may enroll in enriched, College in the Schools, and Advanced Placement courses. Students can participate in 34 varsity sports and 28 extracurricular clubs, with significant success. SAHS has claimed state and national awards for student publications, the longest streak of superior ratings in Minnesota State High School League (MSHSL) musical competitions, repeated recognition from the AP College Board, and 56 MSHSL State team athletic championships since 1913.  Students do great things at SAHS.
