Head Football Coach Beau LaBore was awarded Metro Maroon North and Section 4-6A Coach of the Year at the 59th Annual Minnesota Football Coaches Association Awards Banquet on Saturday, April 1, 2023.

The sub-district award is voted on by the coaches in each league while the section coach of the year is automatically awarded to each section champion coach. The Ponies, who finished 2022 with a 9-2 record (5-0 in the sub-district), earned a trip to state by beating Lakeville North at Pony Stadium.

“The awards reflect the hard work and dedication of our players and coaches,” LaBore said. “In particular, the 2022 seniors had talent, but they didn’t take anything for granted throughout high school and led our program to a great season.”

The Ponies have won three consecutive Sub-District Championships and have a 21-7 record over that span.
