The abrupt end to our season due to the Covid-19 pandemic disallowed us to have our traditional end of the season team and underclassmen meetings. Furthermore, with nearly all of our young men participating in Pony Performance, basketball, wrestling, or hockey, there is not a good opportunity to announce our captains in person. Please accept this method under these circumstances. Know that each of the young men were called before this publication.

Stillwater Ponies Football is excited to announce Jayden Leach-Wirwahn, Connor McCormick, Eddie O’Keefe, and Mason Wilson have been selected captains for the 2021 season.

We look forward to the leadership these young men will provide our football program. We also hope to see continued leadership in many forms from all of our 2021 senior football players.

Captains, Est. 1971 (PLAYER AND COACHES VOTE):

The captains are chosen by their teammates to be the primary leaders of the team.  These young men will be expected to carry the mission and vision of the program throughout the months leading up to and during the season. The players select these peers because they believe they will represent and promote the importance of good character, academic achievement, athletic improvement and performance, football, and the team. It is an extraordinary recognition that must be met with extra time, investment, and expectations.
