2020 Winter Pony Speed

Opportunity to run on the treadmills slated

We hope that all of our 9-11 grade football players are playing a Stillwater Area High School sport or signed up in Pony Performance with ETS Gym led by our strength coach Blake Banham. The winter is a huge opportunity to get bigger, faster, and stronger. Coach Weiss is also in the weight room daily, and Coach LaBore is there two days per week.

One avenue for speed development for athletes in Pony Performance is Pony Speed. If your son wants to add this to his workout, we suggest the following:

-Sign up for the Wednesday / Friday session (12 workouts) OR

-Sign up for the Wednesday only session (8 workouts)

This is strategically placed. On Wednesdays Pony Speed athletes would forgo their recovery lift and Fridays are not heavy for legs. Furthermore, athletes have the weekend to rest and recover.

The other offerings include either Monday or Thursday, which are heavy leg lift days - not encouraged, and as some athletes know, too challenging.
