Varsity Football Coach, Woodbury High School, 2005-2010

-Successes include tying the school’s regular season wins record with seven in 2008 and played in the Section 4-5A Championship game … Oversaw construction of turf surface in 2008. Sought, acquired, and oversaw football stadium renovations for press box, ticket booth, and equipment garage in 2010 … Remodeled and renovated all locker room, storage, and office facilities … Coached in the 2008 Minnesota High School Football All Star Game as the Metro Defensive Coordinator in a 54-13 victory. Coach LaBore is one of 14 men to both coach and play (27-26 Metro victory in 1997) in the game … Teams in 2008, 2009, and 2010 earned academic team awards.

Playing Experience:

Saint John’s University Football, 1997-2000

Coach LaBore was a three-year starter at linebacker, Academic All MIAC from 1998-2000, All MIAC in 1999 and 2000, All American in 1999 and 2000, and named to the d3football.com All Decade Team. He graduated as the school’s all-time leading tackler. SJU was the 1998 and 1999 MIAC Champion and the 2000 West Region Champions and Division III Runner-up. Coach LaBore played for legendary head football coach John Gagliardi, College Football’s All-time Wins Leader.

South Saint Paul High School, 1993-1997

Coach LaBore was a three-sport All Conference athlete in football, basketball, and track and field. Coach LaBore was an All State linebacker in 1996, scored 1,029 points in basketball, and was the conference runner-up in the 400 meter dash. Coach LaBore was the only athlete in Minnesota to be named to two Academic All State teams (football and basketball) in 1996-1997. He also participated in Student Council, Yearbook, and served as a volunteer coach. In 2011, Coach LaBore became the youngest inductee of the South Saint Paul Athletic Hall of Fame. Coach LaBore’s varsity head coach Randy Bjorklund was named KARE11 Metro Coach of the Year his senior year in 1996.
