Seniors Shut Out Juniors

The drizzly weather didn't dampen the spirits at the 2nd annual Powder Puff football game. A large crowd turned out to watch the senior girls take on the junior girls in a game of flag football. Varsity players acted as coaches for the teams. The game started off with a girl's choir a cappella rendition of the National Anthem.

Ellie Anderson got the seniors on the board first with a 30 yard touchdown run. The juniors bounced back with an interception but couldn't get the ball in the end zone. Alex Magler really disrupted the junior offense with several tackles behind the line of scrimmage. The seniors extended their lead with a big 80 yard touchdown run by Megan Warbalow. That's all they needed to beat the juniors 12-0 for their 2nd championship in two years.

The game ended with everyone singing the school song at midfield. Everyone was invited into the cafeteria for free pizza provided by the Ponies Touchdown Club.
