3rd Annual Event

Hundreds of Stillwater football players, coaches and parents turned out for the 3rd Annual “Back to Football Night” at Pony Stadium Wednesday night. Players from 3rd grade-12th grade were on hand for the new traditional kick-off to the football season.

Youth players from the VAA started off the night by getting their uniforms, then everyone posed for a giant Stillwater Football group picture. The young players also got a chance to get up close and personal with the varsity players and watch from the sidelines as they scrimmaged.

Meanwhile, parents checked out the various tents set up in the consessions area.  There were food and clothing vendors available.  The Ponies Touchdown Club was also there to answer questions about their efforts to keep our football program strong and successful.

After the scrimmage, the event ended with a giant team "breakdown" with all the players at midfield.

It was a great way for players of all ages to connect and was rewarding on both levels.  The young kids really look up to the older players and the high school players enjoy coming out and interacting with the younger players, talking with them and giving them "high-fives."
