Former Stillwater Ponies football player Brian Arnfelt signed a contract with the Pittsburgh Steelers. Arnfelt, who graduated in 2008, was an All State Defensive Linemen for the Red and Black. In 2012, Arnfelt culminated a steady career with Northwestern, including the following accomplishments:

·NU’s Brian Paynter “Ultimate Wildcat” Award for the player who confronts adversity with courage and dedication

·Academic All-Big Ten

·Capital One Academic All-District V team and second-team Capital One Academic All-American

Arnfelt, the son of Rick and Cathy Arnfelt, graduated from NU with a degree in communications studies with minors in business institutions and legal studies and is pursuing a master's degree in sports administration.
