The Minnesota Football Coaches Association committee Tackle Cancer, of which our Head Coach Beau LaBore serves on with five other coaches and Randy and Roseann Shaver, announced the final results of the first campaign.  Minnesota had 146 high school football teams participate.  There were two colleges and a couple of special events as well. 

In the end, Tackle Cancer in 2012 raised $121,961.91 for the Randy Shaver Cancer Research and Community Fund.  The MFCA and Randy are proud of year one and cannot wait to improve the effort in 2013.  Moreover, we have shown the unique impact that football players, families, and communities can have, especially under the Friday night lights where most of the donations were collected.  To see a detailed list of the participants, use the following link http://www.mshsca.org/football/.  The Stillwater football team and community raised $947.25 in the effort.
